Comedian Joanna Briley returns to Maine after her debut performance in 2021 at Thompson's Point at Cabin Fever. Let's flashback to 2019 pre-pandemic Joanna Briley was Senior Manager of Comedy Development at a little venue in Bedstuy, Brooklyn at a venue called Brooklyn House of Comedy taking on this Filipino kid from Maine named Marcus Cardona to be Assistant Manager just two comedians who were to committed to the art form and growth. Since the pandemic threw Marcus back to Maine from producing Cabin Fever and Don't Tell Comedy shows to founding Maine House Of Comedy. This show wouldn't be possible if it weren't for Joanna Briley and we're happy to bring Joanna to Maine House of Comedy for an evening of laughs and love from our comedy family to yours at "a funny place to call home"Joanna Briley a veteran comedian and native New Yorker. She's so New York that when she's not telling jokes she's making sure everyone else can get to one as an MTA worker. She has appeared on Lifetime TV’s , “Watch What Happens Live” with Andy Cohen, and several appearances on Wendy Williams “Street Talk” segment. She founded MetroComics, Inc, a comedy organization that allows MTA employees to combine their senses of humor with their experiences working in Metro. She currently hosts both the LaffTracks Comedy Showcase and the Wednesday’s Comedy Workout and works as the Senior Manager of Comedy Development at the Brooklyn House of Comedy. Joanna is the Festival Director and founder of Black Women in Comedy Laff Fest. A member of the GOLD Comedy advisory board Featuring Vee LinceVee Lince is a comedian from New York City and Long Island native. Her humble upbringing and immigrant background makes her a crowd favorite. In addition to becoming a regular at some of New York's finest clubs like Governor’s Comedy Club, In 2018 she won the He said-She said Comedy Competition and has also graced the stage at some of the hottest shows for up and coming comics, from Nighttrain with Wyatt Cenac in NYC to The 1AM Secret show in Atlanta. While slanging her jokes across this great country, she's been featured at a few of America's funniest comedy festivals including Women in Comedy Festival and recently appeared at the Treefort Music Festival in Boise, ID.
