Front Steps Housing & Services, Ohio City's home for helping individuals experiencing homelessness to transform their lives, is seeking volunteer leaders to join its dynamic board of directors. As a member of the Cuyahoga County Office of Homeless Services Continuum of Care, we have over thirty (30) years of experience working with homeless individuals in the County as transitional housing (1986-2014) and permanent supportive housing (2014-present). In that time, we have served more than 3,500 clients with a 98% success rate. Board members are actively involved in organizational governance, and are expected to attend monthly board meetings, and make a personal financial contribution, while strategically positioning the agency for long-range growth. The board needs a variety of skills, with a strong emphasis on board candidates with fundraising, accounting, human resources, social services, legal, and business development expertise, as well as those connected to the local workforce development agencies, foundations, & cultural organizations.
