Description

Clear patterns between the left and right in America were revealed by USC's Computational Social Science Laboratory and their survey of Americans through their YourMorals.org research site. Psychologist Jonathan Haidt has looked into the “moral roots” of liberals and conservatives and believes that the two groups differ on three key values. These value differences may underlie the political and social conflicts that are currently racking our nation. Our speaker Curt Collier will explore with us what these differences are and how we might address them to unite our country once again. Welcome to ECSSV's monthly 'Spotlight' meeting, where we host an outside speaker to enlighten and challenge us on a topic of ethical relevance to our lives. We invite questions and discussion, and we mix in a little live music, light refreshment, and community sharing. The program runs from 11 AM to 12:30 PM, and all are welcome to linger afterward, share thoughts, and socialize. No Charge Note: Weather permitting, event will be held outdoors on the patio. If we need to move indoors, attendees are asked to wear a mask.
