Description
Looking for someone WITH EXPERIENCE in van conversions. I have a 95 GMC Stepvan. This is my second build. I want to work WITH someone skilled in electrical/solar, framing, cutting holes, etc. Airfans and puck lights installed and floor installed. Current stage: Need to order solar panels and complimentary units, run wiring and build roof rack. I'm thinking about installing an a/c also. We could also install the diesel heater now/soon.
Welding and mechanical skills are a bonus.
Prefer non-smokers (the smell bothers me).
I'm looking for the right fit of a person to work with me for the remainder of the build.... this is NOT a 'full time' job.. this is a weekend here/there type gig. There is no rush or deadline to complete this project, but I would like to progress steadily as our schedules/my finances allows.
If this ad is still up, I haven't found the right fit... so please don't respond with 'Have you found anyone yet?'... just tell me about your experience, why you want to do this gig, what your schedule is, etc...
Most of the reasons I haven't found someone yet (if you might fit the following - lets save each other's time):
-They say they will show up, then don't.
-Show up smelling like a dive bar at 4am.
-Show up buzzed on 'something'.
-Have no experience but claim to be a regular attendee at YouTube University.
-Argue about dumb stuff.
-Clearly illustrate lack of skill/knowledge.
-Tell ME what "I" need to do (What I'm trying to hire someone to 'do').
What makes you a great fit:
-You've done at least one van conversion.
-You follow other van life / conversion people on social media.
-You have a sense of humor and can carry a conversation.
-You have a full time job (or clients) and are just looking for some side work.
-You bring ideas to the table without being forceful.
-You show up when you say you will, do the job efficiently and effectively.
