Description

About the workshopIn this workshop, you'll learn how to make sewing scrunchies easily. You'll walk away from this workshop with my Lisa Scrunchie Pattern and the ability to create beautiful scrunchies for yourself or to gift to loved ones as the perfect stocking stuffer. Unlike other sewing patterns, you are welcome to use the finished scrunchies you make with my Lisa Scrunchie Pattern to sell at autumn craft fairs! I show you how to make the classic scrunchie from the first snip in your fabric all the way through sewing the last stitch. Once we have the fundamentals down pat, I'll show you how you can use this foundational knowledge to customize your new hair accessory with a pretty, perky bow. I can’t wait to share everything I know about making scrunchies with you. Sign up today! About the workshop instructorMy name is Julicia. By day, I work at a corporate law firm in diversity, equity, and inclusion. By night, I’m a writer, artist, educator, and garden aficionado based in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania suburbs. I’m the owner of Julicia Rose LLC, and my highest goal for my small business is to inspire others to connect with nature, create, and practice self-love. I sew because I am endlessly enthralled at the magic of making a flat, 2D piece of fabric into a garment that can be worn. I teach to encourage my students to boldly explore new projects, fearlessly make mistakes, and to learn from their creative practice. I have a Certificate in Fashion Design and Apparel Construction from Moore College of Art and Design. I also have a B.S. from Georgetown University and an MSc from the London School of Economics, both in international affairs.
