Come join us to celebrate NaNoWriMo—November is National Novel Writing Month.
The NaNoWriMo organization “provides tools, structure, community, and encouragement to help people find their voices, achieve creative goals, and build new worlds — on and off the page.” The goal is to create a novel by writing 50,000 words in November. So inspiration strikes, you work hard, and you have a draft of a novel.
If you don’t plan to participate in NaNoWriMo but have written a memoir, a poetry chapbook, a podcast script -- what happens next? How do you turn that rough draft into a polished piece? If you have a work in progress that’s ready to be revised, bring that to the meetup and explore techniques for self-editing.
Join a growing community of writers to improve your skills, become more successful, and make connections with people who understand the challenges of writing. No matter where you are on your writer’s journey, you can benefit from the synergy of a supportive group and overcome the isolation that often overwhelms writers working alone.
