Beer and seltzers available for donation. The Cause: All proceeds from this fundraiser go directly to SLC6A1 Connect in support of A Cure for Charlie. Charlie Fry is a 5-year-old Brookside resident affected by the rare disease known as SLC6A1. This debilating genetic disease causes Charlie to have epilepsy, autism, ADHD, global developmental delays and other health risks. In conjunction with SLC6A1 Connect, A Cure for Charlie, which was founded by the STP Fry family, has raised over $3M and are working toward raising the final million to allow for the advancement of gene replacement therapy, which will ultimately cure Charlie and all children worldwide affected by this disorder.
