We are in desperate need of volunteers to join us at Olympia/Lacey Amtrak Station We staff our station three shifts from 8:00 AM to 9:30 PM (or until the last train arrival) in the event that a train arrives beyond our normal closing time, we stay open until it's arrival. Three shifts are: Morning: 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM Afternoon: 12:30 PM to 5:00 PM Evening: 5:00 PM to 9:30 PM (or until last train arrives) We help people with questions, answer phones, help people with baggage in needed, help people with the kiosk machine in purchasing tickets, and sometimes associating with fellow passengers, very rewarding for those that have a interest in trains, people, and want to help others. We DO NOT handle cash or handling in purchasing tickets. Keeping the station open is very important for our train passengers to wait for their train to arrive. If you or know anyone interested please stop by the station to pick up a flier that will have more information, they are located in front of the counter in the waiting room.
