The World AIDS Day Community Committee (WADCC), is a coalition comprised of non-profit organizations, community members, and health care professionals, that plans the annual World AIDS Day event; a valuable program that educates the public about HIV/AIDS and provides updated information about treatment options and vital resources. In Michigan, there are approximately 16,218 people living with HIV/AIDS, and 10,384 of those individuals reside in the city of Detroit. HIV is still present in our city and our lives. Our theme this year is Weekend of Reflection, Celebration and Rejuvenation.
