Thank you to all of the people who went out and voted in the 2020 Presidential election, especially to those who voted for their first time. Thanks to you, we were able to defeat the malignancy that had crept into our government. You have earned the right to be called a patriot! I hope you continue to get out and vote in the next and in future elections. Your country needs you. We defeated the malignancy for now, but it is still out there threatening the future of our democracy. We have one party that has been trying un-do the results of our election(s). Their leader even fomented an insurrection at our Capitol in an attempt to overthrow our government and remain in power against the will of the people. I am tired of hearing from the factually challenged people who think that Biden did not really win the election for the Presidency because it was rigged! Most people saw just how dangerous the previous president was and went out and cast votes for his removal. Even 60 federal court cases across the country rejected the “rigged” claim for the exact same reason; there was absolutely no evidence! That should be enough to convince anyone that the election was not rigged, but for some, it is not. They were highly programmed by the former president’s repetitive chanting that “If I lose, it will be because the election was rigged!” He made sure to put that statement out there every time he spoke. Soon, it was being parroted by most of the party. I guess some people are sensitive to all that repetition and they begin to believe even the most ridiculous things. These people have gone to great lengths to change the outcome of the election. Their party even voted to toss out the election results based on the “big lie” that the election was rigged. Our own lackluster representative Jack Bergman voted to overturn our votes with regard to Joe Biden, but he thinks the election was just fine in regard to his own election. They are working diligently to change the ground rules in our voting systems in order stack the deck in their favor. They want to have the power to throw out the votes when their candidates lose and let the state legislatures decide who won. This will effectively kill our democracy. So, if you love your country and you value democracy, put your patriot pants on and get out to vote. Vote Democrat!
