SEEKING AN ONSITE CARETAKER for our manufactured housing community in Kingsland, TX, located one hour west of Austin. This position includes part-time work at $30 per hour and subsidized rent in one of the community’s homes. Twin Rivers is nice, clean and quiet and centrally located in Kingsland. We are a semi-retired couple and have owned and managed Twin Rivers for a decade. There are 30 homes in the community, fifteen are owner occupied and the rest are rentals. We have low turnover and many long-term residents. We have worked hard to create an affordable housing solution for Kingsland that offers folks a nice safe place to call home. We are seeking caretaker(s) who can provide handy-person services, lawn/landscaping services and oversee contractors (plumbers, air-conditioner repairmen, etc.). The base caretaker position is not full-time - some weeks will require more hours than others. “Mowing Season” during the summer will represent a significant amount of work. As we "turn over" rental homes, we are selling them and shifting to a home owner community. Preparing the homes for sale will provide significantly more work if the caretaker performs remodeling tasks. We are offering significantly discounted rent of $600/month on a three bedroom/two bathroom single wide home. The home has an extra-large front yard providing room for an additional storage shed. Kingsland is a small town located in the Texas Hill Country on Lake LBJ. Kingsland and the Highland Lakes area are known for great boating, fishing, and hiking. Twin Rivers is just down the street from banks, a pharmacy, HEB, a coffee shop, the post office and restaurants. There are only about 6,000 residents in Kingsland, so there is no traffic and yet nearby towns like Marble Falls provide plentiful shopping and health care options. We are looking for a contentious customer oriented individual or couple who share our values and work ethic. References and background check required. We are proud of Twin Rivers and the reputation we have built and the right caretaker will be able to take pride in their contributions as well. We will allow one small dog or cat.
