The Full Deck Band Classic Rock Show is looking for an experienced keyboard player to take the place of a departing member. We're ready to hit the streets playing as soon as you would be worked in. HISTORY The band has been together for 10 years and except for covid has not stopped playing since. We were a regular feature at the Grand Casino Mille Lacs for oyer a year, Since then we have steered mainly towards town, city and county events during the summer months and more towards smaller venues in the winter. Covid did cause a hit in our momentum but the time allowed us to spit shine our show. Our niche is concentrating on entertaining rather than just playing a random list of tunes. We do include a few great country tunes folks love. We don't play in street clothes but we don't wear matching bowling shirts either. THE GOAL We strive to perform tunes as close to the originals without getting ridiculous. This has been a winning formula for us as shown by crowd reactions. We prefer to play larger venues especially between May and October. Venues in the past have been as far north as Thief River Falls and south to Rochester. If the job pays well we do consider overnight gigs. When the snow flies we stay close to home and look for clubs that have in-house sound. We do own our own large scale lighting system and do incorporate dual video screens in the show. WHERE YOU FIT IN Our keyboard spot is intended to make us sound large - horns, strings the works. Taking on some lead vocals is a must. We're not looking for Keith Emerson - just need you to know how to manipulate your rig to get the sound out of it. THE FINANCIALS We do get paid to perform! We charge $3500 for full production shows that are within 2 hours of the twin cities. If it is further we get the client to provide rooms. If the venue provides a sound system, we charge a bit less. We do not and will not own our own PA - don't like schlepping lots of gear. We have a network of sound contractors that has served us well. We hold a out a small percentage for band expenses and evenly split the rest. We do charge much less for the small club gigs in the Ice Road Trucker months. If you are looking for steady, guaranteed income to make next months rent - this is not for yon. But that's not. saying we don't get compensated very well. LOOKING AHEAD Male or female - we don't care. We just want someone that is honest, reliable and can take a joke without calling the poor me police. We have a ton of fun and put out a product that you can be proud. We rehearse in Buffalo and occasionally the Delano area. The ideal timetable is to be up and running 100% by March or sooner - once a good number of gigs are booked we can knock off rehearsing until late Fall.
