Description

Learn how to identify and remove invasive plant species like camphor, coral ardisia and more. Join us for a morning removing invasive plants at Lake Munson. This lake drains to Ames Sink, which makes its way to Wakulla Springs. There have been a lot of efforts to improve water quality here. Removing invasive plants helps native plants and animals thrive. All participants must wear masks. We will be socially distanced and outside for the entire workshop. We'll meet in the parking lot to learn identification techniques and spread out along the trail. Bring gloves, water, buckets and removal tools if you have them. We will be focusing on coral ardisia berry removal, but other invasive plants will be there as well. Children and families welcome!
