I have been keeping two male guinea pigs for someone that is moving. I would like to offer a foster to adopt option to a family that is considering guinea pigs but not yet sure. Guinea pigs are one of the most rehomed animals on the Internet. It is great to do a lot of research before adopting these animals. They require daily vegetables hay and pellets, And monthly nail clipping similar to dogs and cats. These two guinea pigs have been adorable- I have watched their personalities over the last month. I have trimmed their nails twice and cleaned their ears. The brown one with a white crest is very outgoing and will come right up to you to get veggies. The red Abyssinian is more calm but easier to trim his nails. They both are calm when held but will still give you a run for your money when trying to pick them up. That should change over time as you work with them by speaking gently to them and giving them pea flakes (I make mine) I am available all day if you would like to meet them and discuss guinea pig care.
