Timid cat to good home

This stray I've brought into my home is a great guy - He's the guy with the skunk like stripe (left) - nurtured, vac, etc for a catch and release program. (https://humanesocietyofcharlotte.org/health-wellness/trap-neuter-return/) He's not feral but he's very untrusting. I've got 5 others and after 6 months he's having difficulty meshing well with us. I think he would prefer to be out roaming, but I live in a fairly urban area and would devastate me to see him hurt. If someone has the patience or rural area where he could be a barn cat or have more attention on him would be great.
