SpeakerKurt Hibbard is currently the Senior Production Engineer over Gulfport’s SCOOP assets in Oklahoma. Prior to joining Gulfport in May 2022, Kurt gained experience with oil and gas, underground gas storage, geothermal, and CCUS wells while working in production, completions, and reservoir engineering roles at Chesapeake Energy, Ascent Resources, 89 Energy, and as a consulting engineer at his own consulting company. Over the past 15 years Kurt has worked in operations roles in most major unconventional basins in the US. Born and raised in Spokane, Washington, Kurt earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Eastern Washington University and a Master of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from Montana Tech, and he is a licensed Professional Engineer in Oklahoma.
