There, away from the noise of society, one can connect with the deepest parts of their soul. If you love the mountains, the great outdoors, and are a spiritual person, you will love this movie. Beyond the Peak has been to several film festivals and won awards. We had the Indianapolis Premiere on May 1st, and we are already receiving many requests to bring it back, the movie is that good. Beyond the Peak has attended several Film Festivals, including Belgrade International Film Festival, and won 2 awards: Best Diaspora Documentary - At Chicago Serbian Film Festival (pictured above) Best Cinematography - At the Great Lakes Christian Film Festival And it will be playing at Byzanfest, in Australia, at the end of the month. It has been nominated for Best Film, Best Director and Best Documetnary. IT ALL STARTED WITH AN INTRODUCTION. In 2016, first time director - Aleksandar Jovic - was introduced to David Rayman-Rajkovic and the St. Nicholas Mountain Climbing Club. Both Aleks and David come from the Orthodox Christian Church, but their friendship became much more once Aleks discovered his part in the evolution of the mountain climbing club. How one man manifested something much bigger than himself. How David’s singular goal to pray for the soul of his lost brother would turn into a joyful experience for a brotherhood to come together and continue finding their spirituality in nature. It had a duality that immediately gripped the young director, and would become the start of a four year long journey to share this beautiful story with the rest of the world. Their shared appreciation of nature would only be the first stepping stone in creating a narrative that reveals the brotherhood’s serendipitous journey, but aims to take the rest of the world, watching - Beyond the Peak.
