MORTAR is closing out 2022 with its second City-Wide Pitch Competition, P!+ch Please!Join us on Saturday, December 10th, for an inspiring night of networking, competition, and celebration at Memorial Hall. We begin at 5 PM for hors d'oeuvres, drinks, and conversation before moving into the theater for the pitch competition. Ten pitchers will compete for a chance to win a large cash award and other prizes. Afterward, we'll celebrate with a "Happy Hour" featuring dessert and [more] drinks. Food and dessert provided by MORTAR Alumni, of course. Tickets include food and a drink ticket. P!+ch Please was first introduced in 2019 during MORTAR's Future History Now event, our annual celebration of Black History & Women's History Month. We were able to award a total of $15,000 to two small business owners to assist them in growing their businesses. Supporting historically marginalized small business owners is at the heart, soul, and foundation of what we do.
