Description
Kira is a husky mix. She’s been with us for about 6 years. We got her as a rescue when she was about 2. She is very sweet and smart, good with kids and other dogs. We also have two cats that we got as kittens. Initially she tried to attack them but she quickly learned not to, they get along now.
We are re-homing her because we have an 8 month old baby and another on the way. Lately Kira has had a thing for…poop. She likes to eat cat poop, goose poop, and lately has even been seeking out dirty diapers. I’m worried that she’s going to contact and pass a parasite to my babies.
She also hasn’t been getting the attention that she’s used to and she seems sad. I think it would be better for all of us if she was with someone that could make her more of a priority. She is generally very calm, though she gets excited if she knows she’s going for a walk or a car ride. She does well camping and stays close when she’s off leash. She does well at dog parks and with kids, and she knows many commands.
Ideally she’ll go to a home with a fenced yard and no small children (I think she would knock them over). She’s fine at home alone so anyone working a full time schedule shouldn’t have issues, just make sure the trash is out of reach ;)
If we haven’t found a home before this Sunday (11/6) we will have to surrender her.
I am not asking for a re-homing fee, but I will ask for pictures of a fenced yard.
