Come hear the story of Muriel Engelman, a World War 2 Army nurse. Mrs. Engelman was 101 when she passed away this summer, and was one of the last surviving Army nurses to serve near the front lines during World War II. During our special Veteran's Day tribute, not only will you be able to discover and tour the historic Mesier Homestead, but you will also hear about this former Wappingers Falls resident's experiences in Europe during the war, as portrayed by one of our costumed WHS volunteers. After the Engelman presentation, your guided visit will continue through the both floors of the Mesier Homestead by volunteers from the historical society. The program takes place at 1:00pm, 2:00pm and 3:00pm. Please allow 1 1/2 hours for a complete visit.
