Cranksgiving is simple. It’s a food drive on people-powered wheels! All food collected benefits families and individuals in need through the South Coast LGBTQ+ Network.
Bring your bike to the registration booth at the Co-Creative Center on November 20 between between 10AM-2PM. The official kickoff is at 10:30 but participants are welcome to join throughout the day.
As part of your welcome packet, you’ll receive a list of needed items, the five checkpoint locations, an envelope to keep your receipts, and a map of the area. We will release this information via Instagram and Facebook a few days before the event so riders can prepare. Each rider or team is responsible for finding their own route to each of the five checkpoints, completing the challenge, and picking up food to donate when you return to the registration table.
You’ll need:
• a bike (all bikes, e-bikes, and/or roller skates, skateboards, kick-scooters, and assisted mobility devices are also welcome!)
• a bag, basket, or trailer to carry donations
• $10-$25 or more to buy food to donate (participants are encouraged to raise money prior to the event to buy even more donations but every little bit helps!)
When you return, your donations will be weighed and your checklist and receipts will be verified. Prizes for fastest rider, best dressed, most donations collected, most cargo carried, and more will be presented at the award ceremony at 2PM.

We hope you’ll join us for this event. This is our fourth year organizing it and should be our biggest and best one yet!
