Join us as we hear about a recent project at the Bird Island WWTP which will covers. An investigation was launched in 2021 to investigate the seepage and subsidence issues and provide recommendations to address them in the long-term. Specifically, the following information was gathered/investigated: • Groundwater levels across the WWTP campus over the course of six months • Confirmation of water source (i.e., groundwater, leaking wastewater conduit, river, etc.) • Water quality analysis of seepage water • Precipitation trends in the local Buffalo area and across the Great Lakes Tim and Zachary will present the project and its results and implications. Great chance to also network with other local NYWEA members!
