Description
Important Info for AttendeesAdoptions are First Come, First ServedWhile we're working diligently to find animals who match your stated preferences, all adoptions are on a first come, first served basis—we won't be able to reserve specific animals for attendees (the welfare of the animals comes first). If you have your heart set on a particular little friend, try to arrive early! Fostering RequirementsAll of the cute doggos, cats, reptiles and more that will be available as fosters this weekend will be coming from Los Angeles Animal Services. LAAS requires a brief application and the submission of the following information: Required Foster Application (if you have not previously fostered with LAAS) LINK HERE. Pro Tip: Select only one shelter location on your application. You can foster from any location regardless of what you select. Email the LAAS Lifesaving/Foster Liaison at [email protected] with your completed foster application and also provide a scan or photo of your current photo ID (if your current address is not shown on the ID, please also include another form of address verification (picture of mail received, utility bill, etc). Providing the required foster application and information will save you time at the event and will allow you more time for fun. --- What's the problem? Our county’s animal shelters are currently overpopulated which is extremely stressful for these animals we’re trying to help. If we (Production Club) weren’t focused on designing the future of live entertainment, we’d probably be throwing raves for doggos… that’s how much we love animals! Where's the event? The pet adoption festivities will take place at Production Club’s studio and parking lot in Chinatown, Los Angeles. We will have a meet-and-greet area for you to interact with our star guests (aka animals), enjoy live music, eat yummy food and drink tasty bevvies. Do I have to RSVP? To increase the probability of you and/or your friends finding a compatible pet, we’re teaming up with LA Animal Services (LAAS) to curate the selection based on your preferences. When you RSVP, make sure to answer the short questionnaire so we can bring dogs, cats, small mammals, or even reptiles that fit your lifestyle (to the best of our abilities). If you’re interested in fostering, please also feel free to RSVP as a potential foster parent! --- Who is Production Club? Who is MásForMore? MásForMore is the non-profit arm of Production Club focused on supporting under-resourced communities using Production Club’s world-class creative and production services. Who is LAAS? LA Animal Services operates six animal shelters and has field staff serving the community. The shelters are award-winning facilities that have been built within the past 10-15 years. LA Animal Services is one of the largest municipal shelter systems in the U.S., serving approximately 60,000 animals annually and responding to 20,000 emergency calls each year involving animals or people in danger. LAAS is often the leader on progressive animal issues. Los Angeles was the first major city to pass the ban of the use of the elephant bull hook inspiring other cities to fall into step, Ringling Brothers began making plans to retire the elephants from circus acts. The earliest declawing legislation began here and is now being considered by New York and beyond. The anti-puppy mill ordinance to prevent the importation of mill bred puppies and kittens began in Los Angeles and cities across the United States are starting to join that movement. Who is DOG PPL? Shout out to our friends at DOG PPL (LA’s first canine social club) who are generously offering a 3 month membership to one lucky recipient (pending their pup passing a temperament test)! --- Want to Get Involved?
