Empire Builders - Target Field - November 10thHill Capital is grateful and excited to host our ninth Empire Builders event on November 10th! This exclusive event will include our shareholders, portfolio companies, Ambassadors and entrepreneurs we have met along the way. See what it looks like in action from past events. Morning Session - Sharing Experiences and the Power of Positivity 8:30 am: Doors Open and Registration 9:00-9:15 am: Kickoff with Patrick and Nick 9:15 am-11:00 am: Panels of our portfolio companies to share their experiences on fundraising and roundtables to share experiences on that topic. 11:00 am-12:00 pm: Keynote address from John Kriesel on the Power of Positivity. On December 2, 2006 the vehicle Kriesel and four of his comrades were riding in encountered a 200 lb. Improvised Explosive Device (IED). The blast killed two of Kriesel’s best friends and he was severely injured, losing both legs, suffering numerous broken bones and internal injuries. He was transported to two field hospitals in Iraq where he died three times on the operating table before doctors saved his life. During John’s presentation he will describe his decision to join the military at 17 years of age, and his overseas deployments. He will discuss in detail the tragic events of December 2, 2006, and his thoughts and feelings as he laid on a dirt road in Iraq, nearly bleeding to death. He will describe what it was like when he woke up from an 8-day coma in the United States and began his recovery. John’s story, sense of humor, and positive outlook on life will leave you inspired. Lunch with a Purpose 12:00-12:45 pm: Meet and greet with John Kriesel, curated connections and lunch is served. 12:45-1:15 pm: Hill Capital update Afternoon Session - The Business of Baseball 1:00 pm-4:00 pm: Panels with members of the Twins Front Office to share their experiences and roundtables related to the panel. Social Hour - Truly on Deck 4:00 pm-5:00 pm: Drinks and socializing with your peers.
