We met six years ago yesterday. You made a valiant effort to open my phone and punch in your number. You tried again to say hello a month later, sorry, still too awestruck to do anything beyond confirm you exist and leave for a moment too long in case caffeine would open me up. At some point within the next year or so living the dream started seeming more reasonable. You are partly to blame in my opinion. There’s more to explain and more to apologize for, and hope that we work our way together again. An idiot grin is still there while doing my best to goon out in your honor. You did nothing wrong.
