Hi. My name is Nitro. I am a German shepherd mix. I will be a year old on December 26th. I'm in desperate need of a new home with room for me to run. My current mommy thought I would be ok with the area that we have but it just isn't big enough for me to run out my extra energy. So, I get bored, I chew on things, and I started to chew on myself. I have toys and stuff but they aren't any fun unless someone is playing with me. My current mom doesn't want to get rid of my but she does dialysis three times a week and works part time the other 3-4 days. I need more human interaction... I would like to live somewhere with property though. Nitros story: I adopted Nitro in Tucson, AZ at the Pima Animal Care Center. He was 4 months old and was just neutered. He had all of his vaccines and was registered/licensed in Arizona. We just moved to Wisconsin in August and nitro came with us. Nitro had just recently become more energized and hyper. When he plays with me sometimes he'll jump up on me and has almost knocked me down, so he does play rough sometimes and needs some more training. He knows some basic commands like sit and lay down but sometimes he even has problems following commands... He gets distracted easily. He seems like he could be a really smart dog if he had someone work with him. Unfortunately I won't have the time to train him. He is house trained but he has had a couple accidents. He will go in a kennel if he has to but absolutely hates it and cries. He comes with: Food- Purina one, large breed puppy Toys- he has a couple favorite toys Treats Harness- I suggest getting him a prong collar. It makes him not pull.
