We have immediate openings for Sweeper Truck Drivers to clean and maintain customer parking lots. We have full time and part time available and offer the potential for overtime and growth. Paid training provided. As a Sweeper Driver you will be using a handheld blower, changing trash can liners, hand picking trash, and operating a sweeper truck. Our operators work independently on parking lots at shopping centers, office complexes, restaurants, and retail centers at night in all weather conditions. Rain, snow, extreme heat and cold do not prevent us from running routes. Sometimes this job can be messy. We clean up trash all night! Our employees get out of the truck numerous times (50 to 100) a night to do blower work using handheld or backpack blowers, empty trash cans and pick up trash by hand. It will be physically demanding. The shift ranges from 8 to 12 hours per night and starts at 9:00 pm. Sweeping is done seven (7) days a week including most Holidays. New full-time employees will be assigned a 4 day work week that includes a weekend day. Flexible scheduling/shifts available for part-time. Candidates should be able to: Be on your feet for long periods of time and be able to lift or exert force up to 50 lbs. Read, write and speak clear English that can be easily understood on cell phones. Have basic knowledge of cars/trucks which include checking tire pressures, oil level, proper use of jumper cables, and other general automotive tasks related to performing pre-trip/post-trip checks. Demonstrate the safe operation of a vehicle. Commit to excellent attendance. To be considered for the position: CDL experience is a plus, but not required. Knowledge of the Dayton and Cincinnati areas will be beneficial. You need a cell phone and reliable transportation to work. You can pass a pre-employment drug test. We are a drug-free workplace and testing is done if an operator is involved in an accident, damages a truck, is injured, or if there is reasonable suspicion. Medical marijuana use is not permissible. You must complete a BMV check through our insurance company. A good driving record is required. The following may make you ineligible to drive our trucks: Two (2) or more at fault accidents within the last three (3) years. One (1) or more major convictions* within the last three (3) years.Three (3) or more moving violations within the last three (3) years. Expired or suspended license. Base starting compensation is $13.00 per hour with the opportunity to earn hourly bonus for excellent attendance.
