Deerfield Academy’s Physical Plant is seeking a Bus Driver/Grounds Person to work full-time on a year-round basis. The Bus Driver/Grounds person’s primary duty is to transport students and employees utilizing Academy buses/vehicles. Supplemental work as needed as a Grounds person working with a team of individuals to assist with the maintenance of the physical aspects of the campus grounds, school owned houses and athletic fields, including operating all relevant equipment, and performing maintenance and work necessary to keep all Deerfield Academy properties in safe excellent condition. The successful candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent, 1-3 years’ experience bus driving, Class B Driver’s license with Air Brake and Passenger Endorsements; ability to obtain DOT medical card; landscape experience and Hoister’s License is preferred. Evening and weekend work is required. Bus driving schedule may include overnight trips. Sign on Bonus - The successful candidate will receive a $1,000 sign-on bonus ($500 paid at the time of hire and $500 at the end of 90 days.)
