As the Sanitation Supervisor, you will plan, coordinate and implement the Master Sanitation Program. You will oversee the cleaning and sanitation of food processing machinery, equipment, utensils, and the facility with a high level of food safety and product quality in mind. You will be responsible for use of appropriate cleaning methods and application of sanitation chemicals by the sanitation crew with maximum effectiveness, efficiency and safety. As the Sanitation Supervisor, you will plan, coordinate and implement the Master Sanitation Program. You will oversee the cleaning and sanitation of food processing machinery, equipment, utensils, and the facility with a high level of food safety and product quality in mind. You will be responsible for use of appropriate cleaning methods and application of sanitation chemicals by the sanitation crew with maximum effectiveness, efficiency and safety. Key Responsibilities: Be a role model in projecting and applying The Pacific Group Diamond Philosophy (Productivity, Quality, Excellence and Teamwork) and promote teamwork at all times Maintain, through hands-on instruction and guidance to the sanitation crew, cleaning and sanitation protocols in accordance with the Master Sanitation Program Oversee the sanitation crew’s utilization of chemicals and cleaning agents to clean and sanitize processing area walls, floor, and equipment Supervise the appropriate placement of refuse and the use of sanitation tools in a proper and safe manner Ensure the removal of debris from processing area Communicate chemicals supply levels to management Compile and store sanitation compliance data and reports Act as a safety leader promoting safe work behaviors and overall plant safety at all times. Maintain and oversee proper use of equipment Verify efficacy of daily cleaning through both the use of Hygiena ATP testing unit and thorough daily preoperational inspections with the sanitation crew still present. Initiate immediate corrective actions to ensure all surfaces are adequately cleaned and sanitized prior to all production. Conduct new hire and ongoing job and safety training for the sanitation crew. Participate in management and strategic planning meetings in the pursuit of operational excellence Become and maintain certification as an electric pallet jack and forklift operator Perform other duties as assigned What You Bring to Pacific Seafood: Required High school diploma or GED Minimum one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in a food processing environment Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel Must be able to work varied work schedules Preferred Minimum three years’ of demonstrated supervisory experience in leading a sanitation program Prior experience with HACCP, COOL Act, or other food safety programs Prior forklift and pallet jack experience Forklift certification Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: Standing. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Operate a forklift.
