Description
What a summer it’s been with all 15 eggs hatching into cute little chicks and us having to guess whether we have roosters or hens.
Well, the verdict is in! Six roosters and we expect hell to break loose as our young roosters romp to maturity.
There’s two-year-old Rudy, tall and striking, the king of his small flock, who looks out for every one of his feathered girls but has little use for his fellow roosters.
Then there’s six-month-old Big Bertha, whom we found out when she began singing a week ago, is really Big Ben! Rudy has a problem here.
And there are four other young ‘uns who haven’t found their voice yet but will grow up to be handsome and protective of their new flocks as they travel to new homes in faraway lands.
Help save us before winter comes along! Adopt a rooster or two or three. These boys are too pretty to put in the dumpling pot. I guarantee you none of our roosters will spur you, your spouse, the kids, or the family pet! And finally, did I say they were free? Come and get 'em!
