Irish Traditional Session Tunes - getting up to speed

I'd like to meet and play with others working on their Irish Traditional Music tunes. Every time I go to a public session, it seems my memorized repertoire is too narrow and my speed is too slow...haha I've made good progress in the past, practicing with individual players or in a small study group, so I'd like to form or join a situation like that again.
