Event to witness Kristallnacht

On Wednesday, November 9, 7 pm, on the lawn of Westminster Unitarian Church, 119 Kenyon Avenue, E Greenwich, Westminster’s Reverend Eric Cherry and Rabbi David Barnett of Temple Torat Y’Israel will share in a public remembrance of Kristallnacht (The Night of Broken Glass). The gathering will serve to mark the anniversary of the attack on Jewish homes, businesses, hospitals, synagogues and schools in Germany on that night in 1938. As has been the church’s tradition, the Sanctuary steeple will be lit on November 9 and 10 as a simple witness to anti-semitism. All are welcome to attend.
