I'm having trouble understanding just who led the fight to get lower prescription drug prices. Hassan claims that she led the fight in her ads. But so does Pappas and Kuster. Biden claimed credit for it when he said that he even spoke with the inventors of insulin. Of course, they both died before he was born, but that's a different issue.
In any case, the big claim made the democrats (whoever did it), it that we now have lower insulin prices. I'm a diabetic and I have insulin prescriptions for two different injection each day and a pill. I just renewed my prescriptions and it cost me $40 co-pay for a 90-day supply. Hassan's plan claims that the cost would be capped at $36 (that's per month) starting in 2026. This great plan that every democrat seems to have worked so tirelessly on will not save me a dime. It may save the insurance companies a fortune... but nothing for me. I wonder how much gets routed back to the various politicians for this.
