Background check must be clean no arrests. Q. What do we do? A. We work for mortgage companies and banks, completing home site occupancy checks and vacant property inspections. Q. Why would they need people like this in the field? A. When people abandon their homes, or simply move out, we report to the lender, so that the home can be preserved. They drain the water lines and pressurize the lines to prevent burst pipes. We also report damages, maintenance items, and any code violations posted to the property back to the lender. At times we are also called upon to deliver notices to the property by leaving notices at the front door. Q. How is pay managed? A. You are paid per house, and the more houses you can fit into your day the more you make. You are completely in charge of how much you are able to increase in your pay. Q. Is this employment or 1099 contract work? A. This is contract work - you are 100% responsible for your own taxes at the end of the year. You are welcome to work for many contract companies, and we can help you get signed up with other companies as well as ours. Q. What if I can't get the work done on time? A. We do work in a time-service industry, and it is important that the work is turned in, in a timely manner. If work is going to be late for any reason - communication with us is key. Q. How do I complete these inspections? A. We have proprietary apps that our clients send work to; we complete work in the field through an app. Open the app, read the instructions, take the photos, answer a questionnaire and click submit. Simple. Q. Do I have to pass the background check? A. Yes. We are working for financial institutions, and we must follow their guidelines for completing work in the field. You are given an ID number and that number is required for all financial mortgage inspections. Q. Do you cover fuel? A. No, your compensation has been determined firstly by the industry to accommodate this in the fees paid you. The more organized you are, the more money you make.
