Hello even writing this post I can't hold back my tears...I am in need of a new home for my baby boy Tyson. He turned 2 years old in August, I have had him since he was 6 weeks old. He is a big baby, 120 lbs of pure love and goofiness. He is so handsome and is just such a great dog. He is SUPER strong and active. He is great with kids and also LOVES other dogs (especially does well with little ones - they usually like to bark and jump all over him and it doesn't phase him one bit!) He has never had any issue with a big dog either. He is not a fighter AT ALL, Im not even sure if he would even realize a dog was trying to fight him, he would just think it was all a game. I love that about him. I know I can trust him if other people have their pets or kids around. Whenever the family and friends come over to swim in the pool, all the kids are asking "Where's tyson!??" He is the life of the party and he loves being the center of attention. Cats=A no go. He has never actually been one on one with a cat but there are a few strays that run around here and when they run through the yard he chases them for fun. So i am not so sure it would be a good idea if you have a cat. His personality is so funny, he is known to have a bit of an attitude if he doesn't get his way, but it is all in good fun, hes just too cute to ever take seriously! If I had the choice I would keep him 100%, this is something that I have literally put off for months and months hoping that I can find someone I know to take him while I am gone but I have had no luck. I am going to into treatment in Orange County and I cannot take him with me. I have struggled with substance abuse for almost 10 years and recently found out that my parents died 3 years ago and because I wasnt on good terms with them or anyone else in my family, no one told me, and I was completely oblivious apparently. That in itself was enough for me to finally be willing and ready to change my life for the better. But I cannot take a 120 lb american bulldog with me to treatment. He needs a loving family with a fenced yard, preferably a male who is active and will take him out on adventures with him. He is the best road dog, he loves the car, he is down for anything. He is such a good dog. He is also VERY protective of his yard. He has never ever bitten anyone but there have been a few people that have come inside the gate (one had a street bike helmet on which I think scared him) but he stood between us barked and growled and wouldn't let him come any closer to me. I am a female and I have a bit of a hard time seeing as he is a lot stronger than I am, Im only 130 lbs and hes all muscle and I am, well, not. Lol. Anyways, he would be the perfect most loyal dog to someone, I just have high standards. I am not selling him, I do not want any money. I just need a good home for my boy, so I can focus on myself and bettering my life. Please call or text if you are interested. I am supposed to go to treatment any day, the only thing Im waiting on is to find him a home. Thank you for reading all of this!
