The leather class covers the basics of leather carving and embellishments. The course emphasizes gaining confidence by using the leatherworking tools. In the class, students will become acquainted with the handling and use of embossing tools and swivel knives. The creation of leather projects implementing stamping and tooling to develop a three dimensional image. In leather, students will not only have experience with creating but will learn about the history and vocabulary associated with leatherworking. All materials provided.
