Join Madeline Rodgers (of Mad Delicious LLC) and Kimberly Preston (home baker and director of the CAC of Coos County), for a holiday cookie decorating workshop that will provide instruction for various methods for creating beautiful royal icing decorations for holiday sugar (or other cut recipe) cookies! Madeline and Kim will guide instruction of (6) cookie designs (with additional cookies for freestyle decorating), providing insight, tips and trips for various decorating methods, inclusive of outlining, flooding, wet-on-wet, layered, adorned, painted and drawn techniques. Other topics discussed will include necessary vs. preferred equipment for continued practice at home, as well as preparation, baking and storing suggestions and tips. Guests will have the opportunity to make additional purchases of premade/decorated cookies, take-home decorating kits and raffle tickets (prizes will include decorated cookies, take home cookie decorating kits, as well as gift certificates and other prizes, to be drawn 12/16/2022). All proceeds from the event will benefit the CAC of Coos County, which is an organization that provides services and support for child victims of abuse and safe caregivers. Workshop attendance is not required for the purchase of decorated cookieso or take-home decorating kits (nor do you have to be present to win raffled items when they are drawn on 12/15/2022). As this event is a fundraiser, with materials needing to be prepared well in advance, refunds will not be offered for cancellations. All fees/funds captured will be considered donations to the CAC of Coos County.
