In this 2 hour beginner sugar cookie decorating class we will cover the basics of making rolled cookies and royal icing while exploring some simple but effective icing techniques to create 6 beautiful (and delicious) sugar cookies to take home. Everything you'll need to is provided in class! I bring the cookies, icing, sprinkles, tools and even boxes to carry your cookies home in! I'll be there to answer your questions, calm your fears and teach you a little something about cookie decorating! Information about refunds, credits and FAQs are below! I look forward to seeing you in cookie class! About The Class This class is for beginners who may have little to no cookie decorating experience as well as the more experienced decorator who is looking to learn some tricks or just come have fun! This class will be Friday Dec. 2 from 6:30-8:30 pm at The Branded Brush in downtown Leavenworth. Come with friends or come by yourself! This is a laid back, friendly environment and all you need to do is show up! To hold class I need a minimum of 6 participants. If we haven't reached our minimum by November 25 class will be cancelled and full refunds given. FAQ What will I be doing in class? Besides cracking up at my hilarious jokes? We will be going over some cookie facts, icing info, and decorating techniques then you'll be decorating your very own set of cookies that you'll take home with you!What if I'm not artistic? That's what I'm here for! This set was designed with beginners in mind and all you need to do is follow along! If you decide to go rogue and mix all of your icing together like finger paint and work through some emotions... you can do that to. This is your night ;) What do I need to bring? Nothing! Everything you need for class will be provided. If you fancy yourself a messy decorator or just like a good apron to help get in character you can bring your own apron or just wear easy-to-wash clothes! There is a PowerPoint, so if you wear glasses, I'd bring those along too! What age is best for cookie classes? Almost anyone can come have fun in cookie class! This class would be best for kids 10+. Kids under 18 need a parent taking the class as well. Everyone present in the classroom needs to have purchased a ticket and plan on participating in class. We aren't able to accommodate spectators.Can I purchase an additional take-home kit? Yes! Many parents or practicing cookiers purchase additional class kits to take home and re-do the classes. You can purchase an add-on kit during check-out. Your kit will be available at the end of your class - so don't forget it!What will I bring home? By the end of class you'll have created a beautiful and sweet cookie set ready to take home to dry for 24-48 hours in their own box. Plus all the new skills, memories and fun! You're welcome to take home your extra icing to practice with at home if you'd like!Can I sign up as an individual or as a group? You can sign up either as an individual, with a friend, or with a whole group. The more the merrier!I signed up for a class but can't make it? I understand that life happens so that’s why you can cancel up to 7 days before the class for a refund minus the Eventbrite fees. You can always transfer your spot to a friend though (and what a nice friend you are). Any cancelation after the 7 days will be a class credit redeemable for up to 6 months from the credit issue date as long as classes are on-going. If the Army has moved us along or I am no longer hosting classes and your credit is not redeemable you'll get a full refund minus the Eventbrite fees. Please read below for our COVID-19 Cancellation Policies.Covid / General Cancellation Policy for Classes: If you need to cancel more than 7 days before class just follow these steps and I'll get you that refund! Showing Symptoms within 7 days of class: For any sickness symptoms prior to your class’s start time but after the 7-day refund policy, please email me before your class’s start time, and I’ll give you a credit for the next class! You Don't Show Up Or Email Prior To Class: If I do not hear from you before your class’s start time, and you do not show up for class, I won’t be able to offer you a refund or a credit regardless of whether you're sick. So please reach out to me if you’re feeling sick before class starts! Allergens: Eggs, gluten, and nuts are present in the kitchen used to bake these cookies and icing. Cookies and Icing contain almond extract. Chocolate and/or cocoa is sometimes used to flavor and color icing. Please consider your allergies before registering. Eventbrite Fees: Your ticket price includes your Eventbrite fees; however, Eventbrite does not refund its fees. If you cancel your ticket for a refund, we'll give you a refund less the Eventbrite fee - since I can't get this back either. Eventbrite keeps it regardless of whether you show up or cancel.
