The French & Francophone Society of Princeton University invites you to its first big event co-organized and co-sponsored by all the local Francophone organizations of Princeton: a film screening of Xavier Gianolli's 2021 internationally-acclaimed and award-winning Illusion perdues (Lost Illusions) based on French writer Balzac's eponymous novel and casting, among others, Cécile de France and Gérard Depardieu.
This event will take place at Princeton's Garden Theater on Nassau Street on Sunday, Nov. 20th, at 7:15 pm. The film will be shown in French with English subtitles (see trailer here)
It will also be followed by an informal conversation, led by Graduate Student Pierre Azou, between Assistant Professor Céline Brossillon and Princeton Lecturer Carole Trévise, two 19th-century French literature specialists.
This event is open to both members and non-members of Princeton University. Good news: the Princeton Garden Theater also allows attendees to bring their own food and non-alcoholic drinks.
Access: The Princeton Garden Theater is fully equipped for handicap access.
