Thanksgiving provides an opportunity to put your gratitude into action by helping people in our community. Together, we can make our communities stronger one act of giving at a time. You are invited to join us at Feed My People on Tuesday, November 29th. We'll have three volunteer shifts. The morning shifts are from 5:30-7:30am & 9 -11am and the afternoon shift is from 1- 3pm. All volunteers are welcome to join us at the end of the volunteer shift for a facility tour to learn and see more about Feed My People operations and mission. BONUS: WEAU will be joining us and conducting live interviews for the 5:30-7:30am shift. When you register, you'll see a ticket type for each volunteer shift - please choose the ticket type for the shift that you'll be volunteering for. Volunteers will be helping to package dry food, such as oatmeal, rice, pasta, or cereal into family and/or individual sized portions. Volunteers should expect to be on their feet for the majority of their shift, although a few sitting opportunities are available. Some volunteers may be asked to lift 10-15 pounds occasionally. Volunteers should wear close-toed shoes.
