Description

Join us in the fabulous event space of Black Business Enterprises as Gina Lemon of People Possibility gives us an introduction to Positive Intelligence. We will learn how to build powerful habits for a positive mind. Most attempts at positive change fail because we stop at insight and don’t build habits. Sustained change towards a more positive frame of mind requires laying down neural pathways to form new habits through consistent daily practice. You'll also hear a brief overview of Women United's work to help women and children in the Twin Cities build a foundation for a thriving future regardless of income, race or place. And you'll have a chance to meet a new friend or connect with an old one while enjoying drinks and appetizers by local caterer, O's Kitchen. In preparation for the event, please take these two free assessments if you have time - they take less than 5 minutes each: https://assessment.positiveintelligence.com/saboteur/overview https://assessment.positiveintelligence.com/pq/overview Women United supports women-owned and BIPOC-owned small businesses. You'll have a chance get a headstart on holiday shopping with two local vendors who will display some of their products. Zifas Boutique will have handbags for sale and Lip Esteem will have lipstick for sale. Check out Tameka's story about Lip Esteem on the Small Business Revolution. The appetizers and desserts are from O's Kitchen, a woman-owned Caribbean-American soul food catering company. O's Kitchen was developed and launched as part of a business incubator at All Square—a civil rights social enterprise. The founder, Onika Goodluck, began cooking at age 15 and has been energized by the culinary world since the minute she stepped into her father’s kitchen. Informed by her roots in Guyana, South America, Onika loves sharing her unique cuisine and food philosophy with companies and communities across the Twin Cities. All ticket revenue will be donated to Women United to provide grants to our community partners. If you can't join us, consider making a donation. Learn more about Women United.
