JOB ANNOUNCEMENT 2022-27 NATIONAL SCHOOL DISTRICT announces an opening for the position of: MASONRY/MAINTENANCE WORKER (8 hours per day, 12 months per year) PURPOSE STATEMENT: The job of Maintenance Worker/Masonry is done for the purpose of completing construction projects safely and within established timeframes; ensuring efficient and safe utilization of space; producing required walkways, forms, floors, etc.; and ensuring adequate materials are available to complete assignments in a timely manner. QUALIFICATIONS: Skills are required to perform technical tasks with a potential need to upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Skills include operating equipment used in masonry; operating manual and automatic sprinkler systems, operating trucks and other power equipment; planning and managing projects. Ability is required to consider a variety of factors when using equipment. Flexibility is required to work with others in a variety of circumstances; work wtih data utilizing specific, defined processes; and operate equipment using a variety of processes. Ability is also required to work with a diversity of individuals an/or groups; and utilize a variety of types of job-related equipment. Education/Certification: Community College and/or Vocational School degree with study in job related area or equivalent. Licenses, Certifications, bonding, and/or testing required: Valid California Driver License, Evidence of Insurability, Pre-placement Proficiency Test. SALARY/BENEFITS: Appropriate placement on the Classified Salary Schedule, Range 28, $25.04 to $30.55 per hour. Employees receive health, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage and District contribution to the Public Employees Retirement System. This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement containing an agency shop provision. MEDICAL EXAMINATION: Offer of employment is contingent upon satisfactory completion of a District-paid pre-placement medical examination, which includes drug testing, FBI and Department of Justice Fingerprint clearance ($77 processing fee).
