Join our growing forestry team! We're currently hiring roadside brusher operators. We build and maintain logging roads. This includes: • Construction of new logging roads • Grading and rocking • Cleanup, reopening, and repair of existing logging roads • Roadside brushing using boom-mounted brushers on New Holland and John Deere tractors This position is primarily to operate our boom-mounted roadside brushers. Experience is preferred but we will train the right candidate and provide specific equipment training. The operator will also have the opportunity to run and gain experience on different kinds of equipment depending on the project including: CAT 308 CAT 312F CAT 313 CAT D6K CAT D7 Kubota GX6 CAT 126 Grader JD 690 JD 6430 Premium New Holland TS110 New Holland TV140 The operator must have a valid driver’s license with no restrictions. Specific equipment training will be provided. Experience in forestry equipment operation is preferred and will result in higher starting pay. CDL holders will also receive higher starting pay. However, we are willing to train the right candidate. Candidates may have to pass a drug screening and employees are subject to random drug testing. Our shop is in Sweet Home, but the operator may live anywhere in the Cascades/Willamette area since the work requires traveling to various projects. Much of the work this year will be in the greater Oakridge area. The operator will typically travel directly to the project site from home each day. After training and probation the operator may be able to choose their own schedule and days worked depending on project. 40+ hours a week. During summer expect to work 50+ hours with no lack of available overtime hours. The operator will typically travel directly to the project site from home each day. We will provide the operator with a company truck or carpooling for all work related transportation.
