Description
Hello,
I am a white male Christian who has a point of view on abortions. There was a very amusing post that stated silly miscarriages equating to loss of those medical services. The end of Roe v Wade did not make anything illegal for the State of Washington. That ruling had zero effect for this state. That is not opinion, that is a fact.
The writer rhetorically asks, "How many women will die with the loss of Roe?" That is a very good question. What we should do is find out how many women died from botched abortions prior to the Roe v Wade ruling. Don't get me wrong, I do believe some women tragically died that way, but how many? Saying, "One is too many!" Is just as bad as an anti-baby killing person saying the exact same thing. Let's get real numbers to see the validity of the problem. I'm willing to learn.
With the general description I gave in the beginning of my post, I'm curious to know how my point of view should be immediately discarded? Do I really need to be a woman to have a valid opinion on this subject? Considering killing babies in the womb may be a moral social issue, I believe there is a danger of proving self- hypocrisy if you believe white Christian men have no place in the abortion debate because they could not know what it is like to be a woman.
One last fact: almost one million abortions are performed annually in the United States. Another way you could say the same thing is almost 500k future American women are denied the freedom to chose every year.
