McCaren Designs is looking to hire a talented, detail oriented, plant enthusiastic person for an opening as an interior installation team member McCaren is a landscaping company leading the interior plant industry for over 40 years. We are based in the heart of the Twin Cities off interstate 94 and hwy 280 making great access to both downtowns. The company specializes in interior plantscapes, exterior urbanscapes, and holiday décor within commercial properties. The responsibilities of the installation team member are to work with the lead installer in daily deliveries of sub-tropical and flowering plants This role will ease the workload of our installation lead by doing all the deliveries of our flowering plants and specialty plant arrangements. This person will also be responsible for keeping the warehouse at McCaren office clean and organized with aid of interior operation manager. Some days will be spent in the office receiving plants off a truck from Florida and caring for those plants before they are to be installed. Other tasks include cleaning plants, preparing plants and containers for installs, watering extra plants, and keep areas organized. Qualifications for being an installer at McCaren Must be able to lift 20-80 often and able to work on your feet all day. Be able to drive around the metro area doing plant installs A valid MN class D divers license Be able to work in a team to supportive each other and also work independently Some familiarity with Microsoft (word, excel, teams and outlook) Experience with plants is a plus but isn’t not necessary. We will train the right candidate at the time of hire; you must be highly motivated person and willing to learn new skills. Communication skills are a must to be able to communicate with other team members as to issues and highlights within accounts in a responsive timely manner. Have a positive energy every day that will energize your own work and others around you. Little to no plant background is needed as plants can be learned but great work ethic is something you must have. Must have great deal of attention to detail and cleanliness Benefits Some of the benefits you will receive are a work schedule that is a 7-3 M-F with one day every couple of weeks of a start time at 5 am and some Saturday work (more in November, December and January) paid time off with accruals starting on first day, uniforms shirts are to be issued, partly paid medical insurance, company monthly contribution to a health savings, 401k with some matching. Team building and training Wage between $16-18 depending on work history and relevance to the industry
