Description
I have a very sweet but often misunderstood 11 month old female Belgian Malinois looking for the perfect home. I rescued her from a very terrible situation back in August where she had been neglected and abused. She has since been house trained, crate trained, and has learned some basic commands. She is still working on her reactivity when meeting new people or going out on walks. She does great with other dogs and people in a larger setting (I.e. dog parks) She needs a home with no children under the age of 10 and no cats (she has a strong prey drive and likes to chase) She has never bitten anyone but I have been careful and have moved slow with her to not overwhelm her. She prefers females over males and I recommend that her main handler be a female or a calm male. She has grown quite attached to me and will follow me around the house and demand pets and cuddles. She has been spayed and has a clean bill of health and will come with preventative care that includes vet visits, vaccinations, and heart worm/flea preventative through August of 2023.
Kiowa is not a dog that can just chill all day at home, she needs a job and adventures on the daily. If you don’t have the time or money for this level of care please don’t contact me. She will need to continue her training, and I highly recommend she do a board and train or intensive daily lessons at home to help get her past her fears. She appears to be a well bred Belgian Malinois that comes from working lines (i.e. police, military, protection work) she is young and smart enough that she could be a top performing dog. I did do a DNA test on her that shows she is mostly Belgian Malinois with a great great grandparent being a German shepherd.
If this amazing girl sounds like she is the dog for you please text or email me a little about yourself and your experience with reactive dogs. There is an adoption fee
