Looking for a bassist so we can really dig in and move forward -- have a bunch of stuff written BUT it's written in such a way that you can really put your stamp on it.
Ideally you lean heavy into the whole clangy 90s touch and go vibe -- IE: jesus lizard, shellac, shorty, etc
But were also pulling from post-punk things like mission of burma, PiL, and siouxie and the banshees AND lots of more recent gnarly stuff like chat pile, cloakroom, young widows, and tunic.
Also throw in some big reverby 'gaze like MBV, slowdive, etc etc...
And of course a heavy dose of the 90s heavies like Unwound and Fugazi and Chavez.
Everybody involved have been doing this awhile and have a pretty heavy amount of experience with stuff like recording, touring, and putting out records on solid labels -- but you don't need to be -- what you bring to the table is far mort important than what you've done. Blah blah blah.
If you play bass and went to NO COAST and/or wanted to then we should talk basically...
I'd describe what we are trying to as a sort of harsh minimalism.
