Small, locally / family owned and operated company looking to fill the following position: ASPHALT RAKER/ LUTE MAN QUALIFICATIONS: · 2 Years’ Experience (Required) · Valid Driver’s License (Preferred) · US Work Authorization (Required) · High School Diploma or Equivalent (Preferred) · PUNCTUAL- Must Arrive at Work at the Designated Start Time (Required) · Willing to Work Days, Weekends, and Occasional Nights. (Required) · Ability to Lift 50lbs (Required) · Applicant Must be Self Disciplined, have a Desire to Learn and Be Trained, and Work Diligently under Time Constraints. JOB DESCRIPTION: · Lute/ Rake to Straighten Asphalt Joints and for Hand Work Areas where the Paving Machine I Unable to Reach. · Repair Mat Imperfections. · Rectify any Deficiencies on a Project. · Must have Eye for Quality and Ability to Communicate with Laborers when Material is Needed. · Must be Quick Paced to Ensure the Asphalt Mat Doesn’t Cool Prior to Compaction. · Perform Daily Maintenance on Tools and Ensure all Tools are Stored Properly at the End of Each Shift. · Help Manage Customer and Public Expectation. Provide the Highest Level of Customer Service. · Must be Willing to be Flexible with to Perform other Activities within the Company: Asphalt Patching, Grade Work, Sealcoating, and Striping. JOB DETAILS: · $18 - $25 Per Hour. · Full Time Position. · Yearly Raises and Bonuses are Available. - 2 weeks off at Christmas, paid (after 90 days)
