Description
I’m an ex-pro cover band guy with a nice studio, but I’m in Canton and I find that’s too far for most people to drive. I recently wrote and produced the first season of a sci fi comedy podcast (Way Better Than Fingers) with a cast of a dozen actors across the country, and that worked out well. So, I thought I’d try the remote concept with music. A decent mic and quiet space to record is all you really need, we’ll just share files as we work.
Because I already have the male vocals covered, I’d like to find a female singer / songwriter to collaborate with. This can be you singing on my songs, me contributing to yours, or us writing songs together. If you play an instrument, that’s bonus.
Since this is remote and not a band, your age doesn’t matter. If you had to put music on hold to raise a family, this might allow you to enjoy some creativity in a way that fits your schedule.
My bar gig days were mostly 70s / 80s / 90s rock, but in addition to that I’ve written acoustic guitar, synth and orchestral based things. I’m open to new directions and inspiration as well. I sing and play guitar, and use sample libraries for bass and drums. I also have modest keyboard chops and the ability to sequence what exceeds my keyboard skills.
This is an invitation only studio, so I don’t take paying clients or try to make money with it. I do this for the fun of it. If it sounds like something you’d enjoy, give me an idea of your musical style(s), what you’d like to do, and let’s just see if we’d have a good time working together.
