Description

The National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) is currently conducting a research study to better understand how young adults read and react to tobacco marketing materials. Individuals who are eligible for the study will visit the NIH Bethesda campus for a three-hour study session. During the study session, we will show you tobacco advertisements on a computer screen and observe where you look. In the process, your facial expressions will be video recorded. Additionally, we will talk to you about some new tobacco products, and our conversation will be audio recorded. To protect your privacy, these recordings will be discarded immediately after data analysis. During the session, you also will use a computer to answer online survey questions about your thoughts on tobacco advertisements and products, as well as your tobacco-related experiences and behavioral tendencies. You will be compensated with a $170 gift card for participating in the study.
